2008 Pledges

Please take some time to prayerfully consider your intended 2008 giving to

the vital ministries of First UMC.       

      Your Finance Committee

Relay For Life

The Appanoose County Relay for Life will be held Saturday, June 21 - Sunday June 22nd from 6:00pm - 6:00am at Paul Johnson Field at Lakeview Elementary School, Centerville, IA.  The First United Methodist Church is forming a team and we want YOU!  Even if you can't walk, you can support our team.  We will be fundraising for this great event and will need your help. We also need to name our team and would appreciate suggestions.  Please contact Ruth Ann Dickerson, 856-2088, Jenna Miller, 856-8992, or Debbie Miller in the office, 856-3213. 

Please consider giving to the Concern Fund

Our local Concern Fund is out of funds. We, along with the other churches of our community, contribute to this fund which is administered through SIEDA. Funds – as they are available – are provided for such things as rent assistance, utility assistance, etc. The recent storms have been difficult for our larger community. Please consider giving to the Concern Fund

Radios

We are still in need of Radios for our folks in the nursing home.  Several of them would like to listen to our Sunday morning worship service and do not have a radio.  Please bring them to the church office if you have one you can spare.
