Notable Centerville residents who have long since passed will come back to life at the Oakland Cemetery on Saturday, October 26, when the Appanoose County Historical Society hosts their 9th Annual Haunted History Tour!
The graves of eight people who have exceptional stories to tell will be visited. Local reenactors and storytellers will share the tales of their lives with guests. This year, the walking tour will be located just west of the bridge, so please park east of the bridge, inside the cemetery and enter via the bridge. The luminary lit tour will begin at 6:30 pm, but for those who prefer the cemetery in the daylight, a tour will be offered at 3 pm.
The cost to attend this event is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Bundle up and wear your walking shoes! The event will only be canceled in case of rain.
